The Center for the Arts believes that arts experiences are important for everyone, regardless of age.
Discounted Tickets
Children and youth through grade 12 can get half-price tickets for any Great Performances at Mason event when accompanied by an adult.
- Adult companion is not required for students in grades 9-12, but a student ID is required.
- Youth tickets may be purchased online, over the phone, or in person at the Ticket Office.
- Students in grades 9-12 purchasing discounted tickets without an adult companion must do so at the Ticket Office and present their student ID.
- All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
Family-Friendly Performances
Attending a performance at the Center for the Arts can be a priceless experience for the whole family. We believe caregivers are best qualified to judge what is most appropriate for their children. To assist, we have selected events that will be most enjoyable for audiences of all ages and have designated them in printed materials with an ALL symbol or with the phrase "this performance is appropriate for all ages" on the event's webpage.
Family Series
The Family Series presents performances designed to introduce children to the arts through lively and engaging programs in song, dance, and story. This series is affordably priced for families to enjoy together.
For Family Series only: children under the age of two who are held by an adult and do not occupy a seat may receive a lap ticket free of charge at the Ticket Office on the day of the performance.
