Can I buy additional tickets at a discount?

Yes. As a subscriber, you qualify to receive a 10% discount on tickets to any additional Great Performances at Mason events that you purchase. This discount is available at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office, by calling the Subscriber Helpline at 703-993-2787, or by using your subscriber login on Manage My Tickets. Log in to Manage My Tickets

How do I exchange my tickets?

Free ticket exchanges are a subscriber-only privilege. It’s easy and you may exchange as often as necessary.

You may exchange your tickets at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office or by using the return envelope included with your tickets. All exchanges must be completed by the day before the date on the ticket that is being exchanged. Though your tickets need to be returned to the Center for the Arts Ticket Office, you are welcome to call the Subscriber Helpline at 703-993-2787, and discuss your exchange with our Ticket Office staff. Our staff will help you determine the best way for you to complete your exchange.

Subscribers may also exchange your tickets online using Manage My Tickets. Once logged into your account, click on “My Ticket Inventory” in the top navigation. Then select “Exchange Tickets” from the Ticket Action dropdown menu and select tickets from your list of events below. You can choose from a list of other Great Performances at Mason events and select new seats. You may also access available account credit online through Manage My Tickets. A credit card is required in case identification is needed for any follow-up customer service. If the amount of credit available is sufficient to pay for your order, your credit card will not be charged.

May I exchange tickets when I am at the Center for another performance?

If you arrive early for a performance, the Ticket Office staff will be pleased to help you with your exchange for a future event. Please note, however, that within 30 minutes of a performance start time, the Ticket Office will only transact business for that event. Ticket Office staff members are also available during the intermission at most performances to assist with exchanges for future events.

What happens when I exchange tickets for tickets at a different price?

If the new tickets have a greater value than those that you are exchanging, you will pay the difference in price. If the new tickets have a lesser value, you will not receive a refund of the difference. However, this difference is considered a donation to the Center for the Arts, and is tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Which events may I exchange into?

Patrons are welcome to exchange into any event in the same season of Great Performances at Mason. You may also turn back your tickets to the Center for the Arts as a contribution that is tax-deductible as allowed by law, so long as you do so prior to the event. Ticket donations cannot be accepted after the performance date has passed. This will allow the Ticket Office to sell your tickets to someone else, and you will receive a letter in the mail acknowledging your donation.

May I exchange my tickets for events at the Hylton Performing Arts Center?

Great Performances at Mason subscribers may apply the value of their subscription tickets toward the purchase of full-price tickets for Hylton Presents performances at the Hylton Performing Arts Center on Mason’s Science and Technology Campus in Prince William County. Performances by Resident Arts Partners at the Hylton Performing Arts Center are not eligible for exchange.

What if I lose or forget my tickets?

Don’t worry. Simply call the Subscriber Helpline at 703-993-2787. When you arrive for the performance, the Ticket Office staff will have replacement tickets waiting for you.

Can I manage my subscription online?

Yes. Log into your Manage My Tickets account to manage your subscription, change your contact information, reprint your tickets, exchange your tickets for another performance, donate tickets back to the Center for the Arts, or forward them to another person. Call the Ticket Office at 703-993-2787 if you need assistance logging into your Manage My Tickets account.

How do I find my seats?

Friendly house staff members are stationed throughout the Concert Hall prior to each performance to help guide you to your seats. Tickets include an indication of “left” or “right” to help facilitate the seating process. Please note that performances in Harris Theatre and deLaski 3001 are often general admission seating.

What if I am late for a performance?

Please allow plenty of travel time to reach the Fairfax campus. As a courtesy to the artists and our patrons, the Center for the Arts strives to start all performances on time. Patrons arriving after the start of a performance will be seated at an appropriate break and in an appropriate location, as determined by house management, and according to artists’ requirements.

How do I request accessibility accommodations?

The Center for the Arts provides access for patrons with disabilities. Patrons with special needs should call the Center for the Arts Ticket Office at 703-993-8881 for information on accessible parking and seating areas. FM hearing devices, large print programs and other services are available for your convenience and comfort. Please contact the Ticket Office at least two weeks in advance of the performance with any special needs requests. More information about accessible options at the Center for the Arts

May I bring children with me?

All patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket. Children and youth through grade 12 may join a subscriber for any Great Performances at Mason event at half of the regular price.

There are many events identified as “Family Friendly Events” which we deem as most suitable for families with younger children to enjoy together. In an effort to ensure an exceptional experience for all of our patrons, we recommend that children attending events other than “Family Friendly” be at least six years of age. More information for families at the Center for the Arts.

I forgot something at the Center. What should I do?

The Lost and Found is located at the Courtesy Desk directly behind the Ticket Office. Center for the Arts patrons can also call 703-993-2787 if they discover that they have left something behind.

What if I arrive early for a performance?

Come early for our popular Pre-Performance Discussions held on Grand Tier III. Enjoy a lively forum led by a local expert or the artists themselves. Discussions begin 45 minutes prior to most Great Performances at Mason, last about 30 minutes, and are free for ticket holders. Learn more about activities prior to performances.

What if there is bad weather the day of my subscription performance?

The Center for the Arts makes every effort to present scheduled performances even in the event of inclement weather. However, there are times when extraordinary weather conditions cause an event to be cancelled or rescheduled. Please call the Ticket Office at 703-993-2787 or check the website homepage for performance updates. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, you will be contacted by phone or email to notify you of your options regarding exchanges or refunds. Please contact the Ticket Office if your phone number and/or email address have changed.
