The Center for the Arts Concert Hall is designed as an adaptable venue, able to serve many types of events from conferences, to orchestral concerts, to large scale productions, and features an expansive glass-walled lobby suitable for formal and informal receptions, dinners, and presentations. Harris Theater is a modified proscenium/thrust theatre and is ideal for smaller-scaled concerts, recitals, lectures, and theatrical events. Click here to learn more about the Facility Rental Process.
Center for the Arts: Concert Hall
A multipurpose venue for a variety of events
The Center for the Arts Concert Hall, opened in 1990 is a technically adaptable venue. The Center for the Arts plays a key role in the cultural vitality of the Washington Metropolitan region, attracting more than 100,000 patrons each year to performances. Each year it houses operas, symphony orchestras, theatre productions, dance performances, cultural shows, and a much more.

Center for the Arts: Lobby
A versatile naturally lit setting for receptions to dinners
The Center for the Arts Lobby is an artistic setting with a unique layout for a multitude of events. Lit naturally during the day, it would provide an inviting setting for smaller seated receptions, larger standing receptions, or for conference exhibits.

Center for the Arts: Grand Tier III
An Ideal setting for private receptions or small scale lectures
The Center for the Arts Grand Tier III is an ideal setting for small seated/standing receptions. With it's movable small platform it often hosts stage reading, lectures, and recitals.
- 1,900 Square Feet of open Space
- Can seat 125 people for a recital or 50 for a sit down meal

de Laski Performing Arts Building
School of Music spaces
The School of Music offers a variety of spaces for rent ranging from recital rooms to small rehearsal rooms. Prices and rates are available for a 10 hour block or on an hourly basis. For more information please contact Lesley Irminger at lirminge@gmu.edu. Rentals are subject to the availability of the spaces due to University uses.

Harris Theatre
A technically equipped intimate theater for mid-sized production
The Center for the Arts Harris Theatre is a modified proscenium/thrust theater. With two levels of seating and exquisite acoustics it is the ideal setting for smaller-scaled concerts or theatrical productions, recitals, lectures, recordings, and screenings.
