GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY’S CENTER FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES NEW SPONSORSHIP:
JORDAN KITT’S MUSIC
TO SPONSOR JEFFREY SIEGEL’S KEYBOARD CONVERSATIONS®
ß America’s largest piano retailer pledges support to popular piano performance series

Fairfax, Virginia, September 8, 2006—“Jordan Kitt’s Music has been a proud supporter of George Mason University and its arts program for over a decade, and is pleased to continue this effort through the sponsorship of the Keyboard Conversations series of performances", said Chris Syllaba, Jordan Kitt’s Executive Vice President. “One of Jordan Kitt’s primary goals is to support the proliferation of music, education and the arts throughout our local communities, and Mason continues to be one of our strongest partners in this effort."

This is the 14th season of Keyboard Conversations, Jeffrey Siegel’s trademark “concerts with commentary” at the Center for the Arts. On October 8, the first of four performances—Beethoven: Sunny Side Up! —includes Beethoven’s Sonatas Opus 78 and Opus 101. The remaining concerts this season also showcase the composers ushering in the Romantic period: Schubert and Beethoven, exploring their later impact on Schumann, with his flair for evocative and heartrending melodies.

During a Keyboard Conversation Siegel performs each work in its entirety and concludes with a short question and answer session. "My hope is that the remarks I share will make the music more accessible," he says. And, the artist assures his audiences, made up of veterans and newcomers, "All questions are welcome!" Ongoing series flourish in numerous American cities, including New York, Chicago, Washington, D. C., Cleveland, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Atlanta, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Dallas, and Denver. More information on Keyboard Conversations can be found at http://www.gmu.edu/cfa/calendar/keyboard/.
