Described by the Chicago Tribune as “the Leonard Bernstein of the piano,” this remarkable pianist is known for delighting audiences with his talent, wit, and enlightening commentary on some of the most beloved music in the classical repertoire. In this program, Mr. Siegel celebrates the 200th birthday of Robert Schumann by exploring some of the most romantic music ever composed. Love inspired Schumann’s Fantasies, Op. 12 as well as his stupendous Symphonic Etudes, Op. 13 or “variations on a theme of a false father-in-law!”
