- February 17, 2017 - February 18, 2017 at 8:00 pm
Enjoy a variety sampler of Gilbert and Sullivan’s "Savoy Operas," masterpieces of musical theater that embodied—and helped create—the manners, mores, and style of late Victorian London. Get a glimpse inside the artistic process at this partially staged performance "in workshop” that includes insightful commentary on comedy and satire and excerpts from well-known operettas such as Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado along with lesser-known works like Ruddigore and Patience. This event launches Mason's Year of Gilbert and Sullivan Celebration.
A Talk Back/Q&A with the cast will take place after the first Friday performance of each production.
$20 General Admission
$10 Students, Staff, Seniors and Groups
This performance will also take place at the Hylton Center's Gregory Family Theater (located on the Science and Technology Campus in Manassas) on Feb. 24 & 25 at 8 pm. Learn more.
