Since its founding some three decades ago, this acclaimed ensemble has been equally popular with dance aficionados, mainstream audiences, and critics alike. This stems from the brilliant choreography of Mark Morris with its riveting artistry, wit, and grace. (The New York Times) This captivating program features Italian Concerto set to Bach’s Italian Concerto in F major and , the D.C. area premiere of A Wooden Tree set to the music and words of Ivor Cutler, poet and songwriter from Scotland. The ensemble also performs Jenn and Spencer set to Henry Cowell’s Suite for Violin and Piano as well as Crosswalk set to the Grand Duo Concertant for clarinet and piano by Carl Maria von Weber.
