Featuring works danced to the music of Bach, Ravel, and Kernis

Committed to presenting awe-inspiring movement set to gorgeous works by Bach, Ravel, Stravinsky, and Mozart, RIOULT (ree-you) brings an enchanting evening of dance that will take your breath away.  This spectacular modern dance ensemble has firmly established a sparkling reputation for blending compelling musicality and lyric elegance. This will be showcased in a program featuring Celestial Tides danced to Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 6, two works danced to music by Ravel: Wien set to La Valse and Bolero, and On Distant Shores danced to music by Kernis. The brainchild of former Martha Graham principal dancer Pascal Rioult, this extraordinary company has received accolades from around the world and now brings his daring and imaginative interpretations of well-known classical compositions to the D.C. area for the first time. “Perhaps the most adept and courageous choreographer in mainstream modern dance today.” (Backstage)
