Experience the magnificent pageantry of British military tradition and history when these two esteemed military bands take the stage in full ceremonial dress, filling the hall with brilliantly precise military music and regimental dance. Black Watch has participated in major world conflicts for nearly three centuries and its celebrated pipes and drums have escorted troops into many famous battles, including Ticonderoga, Waterloo, and even the Second Gulf War. Originally formed in 1642 by King Charles, The Band of the Scots Guards has entertained the British troops serving in battles, including both of the World Wars. Beyond touring the globe, this respected 40-member orchestra performs at the daily Guard Mounting at Buckingham Palace and at various state functions throughout Britain. With the distinctive sounds of bagpipes and brass, the high-spirited Scottish sword dances and regimental marching -and of course the stately uniforms - this spectacle is a feast for the eyes and ears whose breathtaking grandeur is sure to captivate the entire family!
